The Hudson Motorcar was not the fanciest, the largest,
or the most expensive automobile built from the early 1920's into the
late 1950's. Rather, Hudson Motorcars were just great performers,
made by a proud company that really cared about the quality of their
work, and about people who bought their automobiles. However, back
in the mid-1980's, a restaurant was built that utilized the same basic
philosophy of the Hudson Motorcar tradition alive and thriving.
The first Hudson's Grill restaurant and bar concept was
opened in 1984 in Ventura, California. Expansion has slowly taken
place through the franchising of Hudson's Grill of America across the
United States.

This restaurant is a franchise operation, locally owned
and operated by Tammy and Mark Myers. This is a completely
redesigned restaurant to get Hudson's Grill into the 90's and
beyond. However, it is directly linked to the actual era when the
Hudson Motorcar was built. This is accomplished by having late
50's and 60's Rock n Roll music played on our Old-Fashioned Wurlitzer
Juke Box, throughout the restaurant, bar and patio over our sound
system. In addition, a neighborhood drug store soda fountain
counter is used in each Hudson's Grill Restaurant to add even more
authenticity to this beloved era. The decor also adds to
remembrance of this bygone era. Most notably is the Hudson Hot
Rod, an authentic 1953 Hudson which was locally customized specifically
for us. In addition to this, we have a 1951 Hudson crashing
through the wall above the ice cream counter. By far the most
exclusive piece of decor we have is the 1949 John Deere Tractor hanging
from the rafters by the entrance. This is a fully functional piece
of farm equipment we decided to have here to commemorate all the
hard-working farmers in this community.

All the decor in this
restaurant was hand selected by Tammy & Mark with each piece having
it's own story to tell. The latest in computerized and digital
technology has also arrived at Hudson's Grill, from the state of the art
restaurant food production equipment and point of sale equipment, to our
news and sports programming that is seen throughout the dining rooms and
bar on our 16 televisions.
Our Hudson's Grill menu is kept relatively simple, but
everything is prepared with only the finest and freshest of
ingredients. Hudson's Grill only serves top quality, USDA grade or
Certified Angus domestic beef. We have our beef specially ground
to meet our exacting specifications. Hudson's Grill commitment to
quality continues in the fact that we still hand dip our malts and
milkshakes, the Old-Fashioned way, using only the finest ice cream and
toppings available. The owners, managers, and the hourly staff
members know that our guest signs each of our paychecks every time they
dine here. We set an extremely high expectation level for our
guest's dining experience. Our goal is to provide every guest with
quality food and beverages, hospitable service, great value, and a good
relaxing experience, all at a reasonable price.
