Ask Randy

"Why do I need to change the oil in my GM vehicle every 3,750 miles?"

Oil serves a vital function in your vehicles engine.  It reduces friction between moving parts... thereby reducing wear.  Oil protects the engine so it will last longer and run better.

However, the oil in the engines built in the last ten years must perform under very demanding conditions.  Today's engines must work hard at high temperatures.  Heat breaks down oil and the oil oxidizes over time... even when the car is not running.  When oil loses its ability to protect the engine, accelerated wear and damage can result.

Because oil becomes dirty and does breakdown over time, it is very important to change your oil regularly.  General Motors recommends to changing your oil every 3,750 miles or every 3 months... especially if you drive on gravel roads or do predominantly stop and go city driving.

A new engine will cost you over $3000 to replace.  An oil change will cost around $20.  Don't take any chances... change you roil regularly.  Right now, you can save over $4 on our Lube, Oil & Filter special and it will be completed in 29 minutes or less... guaranteed!
